RYA Level 2 Powerboat
Ideally suited to those with jobs in boats out on the water. RYA Level 2 has become the powerboat 'driver’s licence' – over a two day course it will take anyone with little or no experience through to become a safe driver with practical skills and the theory to back it all up.
This course is highly recommended to anyone thinking of buying a new boat for powered inshore use.
We have prepared a syllabus sheet.
Adult two-day RYA Level 2 course – £199 to Members (Temporary Membership is available)
Cadet two-day RYA single stage course – £165. Available only to pre-existing Full Members.
Each training day begins at 10.00am and typically will end at 4.00pm with a break for lunch. Some flexibilty may be required if weather conditions dictate.
Courses are arranged subject to demand. Currently the following dates are coonfirmed:
Adult RYA Powerboat Level 2 – 2 days – June 19/20
Junior RYA Powerboat Level 1 (age 12 and above) – 2 days – July 10/11 (bookable online)
Junior RYA Powerboat Level 1 (age 12 and above) – 2 days – July 12/13 (bookable online)
Please contact the Club via email if you wish to book or discuss other possible dates.
The course overview and general information sheet will hopefully answer any questions.
Please note that we have to have a minimum of two persons taking a course for it to be both viable and a good learning experience for the students – we reserve the right to reschedule to a more mutually convenient time for all if necessary.
